Hi,

I'm Krati Pandya, a CEED aspirant just like you.

I would like to share my work so that you can give feedback to me for my improvements as well as see if that can help you in any way.

  1. Hi,

That's a very good attempt. here are some points that I've observed

    1. While yoou did a grt job in showing the sectional cut view of the mechanical pencil, it's missing a little in proportion. Pencil outer cylinder diameter compared with the height/length of the pencil is more than what it should be. It gives me the impression that the pencil is almost 3/4th size of the usual mechanical pencil. If that was your design (small length), then ok, otherwise, you better extend the cylinder and make it look larger in length for a perfect shape-size view. Hope u understood

    2. You mentioned exploded view, but it's still not a complete exploded view. For it to be exploded, all the major parts has to be shown separately and should be alligned inline according to how they are assembled or dismantled like the same way you have shown the opening for the lid separated from the body of the pencil. What I meant by this is you can show the plastic cap, rubber, springs, inner plastic parts etc separately - outside the outer circular body. I hope u understood this. If not all minute parts, but the major notable parts can be shown separately.

Here is a post that will help you about exploded views - http://stuffyoulook.blogspot.in/2016/12/tips-for-exploded-views-drawing.html

Rest are fine, You have used optimal detailing instead of spending heavily on shading or detailing, that's really gud.

All the best with your preparation.
